Being honest, many women would have to say “Sex.” As a single woman in my 40′s before sobriety, Sex (indiscriminate) is a huge part of my past “red wine” habbit!

Was-just one more slug of warm beer (cigarette butt extracted or safely sunk to the bottom) after everyone’s left Catherine street parties. I know..nasty. Now-Cold, strong Bloody Mary with good celery at an outdoor cafe-mid-day or early evening, something to read, no kids..just me.

Was: Vodka in my slushie at summer punk runk show in Dupont Circle in DC. Is: Bottle of champagne wedged into the snow outside my house in the middle of the afternoon. But I don’t feel all that guilty about it.

A big wineglass full of cold Bailey’s Irish Cream. So many calories, so much saturated fat… and sooooo delicious. (This is something I have once a year, if that. But in a perfect world I would drink it ALL the time!)

Going to a bar with my infant son, a friend and her infant son in the middle of the day on a weekday and having a cold beer. Had the need to defy my new status as responsible parent. I have a great picture of that day which I savor the memory with!

After an especially tough and exhausting day (or just a regular day come to think about it), I love ordering a dirty martini with Ketel One vodka and a motherload of olives. I am not sure if I like the drink or just that I like ordering it, feeling very James Bondish.

A beer in the shower. I know it’s pretty fratboy-ish but there is nothing better than a hot shower white sipping a cold beer at the end of a long day.

Hmmm… that is a tough one… I don’t have a specific drink or anecdote for this question, but I do have to say, whenever I have over-indulged, the pleasure goes away and the guilt kicks in. I do think the caloric intake from the sugar that goes into the alcohol is probably another source of guilty pleasure for me
