They and most of thier friends agree that in 5th grade they did not think about nor have any interest in drugs and alchohol until, the D.A.R.E. program. Then suddenly, something new to explore..... I understand the rational behind "getting" them young but 5th grade is too young. I do believe the D.A.R.E. program has done more harm then good. I have three children who are now in thier 20′s, all went through the D.A.R.E. program.
