thanks for sharing. i am 48 – divorced with 3 kids and it only been the past 5 years that i have admitted that growing up in an alcoholic home left its mark on me. as the oldest i was the “smart one” and i was so sure i would come out of it unscathed. not even close.
but i’m learning. its very important how we communciate with our kids on this topic and i work on that all the time.
its tough stuff but if we’re honest and open, we can overcome anything.
best of luck to you – sounds like you have a very healthy attitude toward it and i’m sure you’ll be able to break the cycle. you deserve the best.

Thanks for sharing. I’m always amazed and grateful for the resilience of children raised in alcoholic homes.
