It’s been over three years since we started this blog, and we are so grateful to all of you who have shared your stories and read those we’ve posted. As you probably know by now, Drinking Diaries: Women Serve Their Stories Straight Up (Seal Press), a collection of 28 original essays, has hit the bookshelves.
While drinking is the thread that ties these stories together, the anthology covers a spectrum of themes–with voices that vary in perspective, age, culture and experience. There is truly something for everyone here, and we hope you will enjoy it.
Below are some photos from our book launch event at the Strand Bookstore in New York City on September 5, and our second event, a reading sponsored by the Golden Notebook in Woodstock, NY on September 9th. There are readings being scheduled at BookCourt in Brooklyn, NY on October 21st at 7 pm, and at Magers and Quinn Bookstore in Minneapolis on Wednesday, November 7.

Congratulations on your book launch. Watched the trailer, and was blown away. Vivid memory of going thru my mom’s wallet after she died, and finding a A.A. card. So many questions, no answers.
Missed you at Voracious Reader last night, but looking forward to reading.
Thanks Rhonda. It was a great night! That’s such an interesting story re. your mom–we should ask people for their one sentence drinking stories–so much in that one line. We’ll be at the Larchmont Library on September 30th and we’ll keep you posted on other events via our Drinking Diaries facebook page.
